Wedding at Alnwick Garden

Last Saturday I performed walk-around Magic of the Mind at a wedding at Alnwick Garden. What a great place for a wedding! We were in the Pavilion, a large function room that overlooks the famous and beautiful fountains. The weather was so good that we had nibbles and drinks outside on the terrace. Yes, it certainly was a great venue. Oh, and the magic went down a storm!

Paperbacks in Peru!

Last week I was entertaining a group of people in Lima, Peru. I love asking people to find a random word in a book, so I picked up two paperbacks and let a lady called Mary choose one of them. I used the other book to find a random page number. Mary turned to that numbered page in her book and concentrated on one word on that page. I tried to see the word in my mind - I thought it was a placename beginning with J. The word turned out to be 'Jonestown'!

Have a Magical Wedding!

Some wedding organizers wonder whether having a top-class magician performing might take the limelight away from the bride and groom. As a magician I would absolutely want the bride and groom to be the centre of attention. That's why I point out to wedding planners that a cabaret-style show might have the unintended effect of taking attention away from the happy couple. On the other hand, my walk-around Magic of the Mind definitely adds to the occasion and has been highly recommended.

Corporate magician gives Sage advice!

I've just entertained a team from Sage UK at their Christmas do - and great fun it was. A lovely group of people; they were already in a festive mood so I didn't have to work too hard to get the mood right, just had to do the two crucial things - amaze and entertain. One guy was so stunned by what was in a newspaper cutting that he could not read it out to everyone until he got back to his seat. And I felt a bit like Santa, giving out prizes to people who came up to assist me!

Especially for bride and groom

When I entertain at a wedding I always do something special for the bride and groom. At Allyson and Ian's recent wedding I pulled out a pack of cards. I asked Allyson, Ian and a relative to each name a card, then I found these three cards in the pack and put them on the table. From my pocket I produced a photograph of the top of my desk taken the night before. The photo showed a large sheet of paper with the words 'Congratulations to Allyson and Ian' and also on the paper were the very three cards they had named! After the shouts of 'No Way!' I gave the photo to the bride and groom as a memento.

How does a wedding magician get bookings?

I am a wedding magician, corporate magician and party magician. There is a lot of competition out there, so how do I get bookings ahead of other good magicians? Well, the internet is obviously invaluable but the real clincher is when I go and meet prospective clients, which I always try to do. I show people what sort of things I do (which invariably blows them away!) and I discuss exactly what their requirements are. When I do this, my record of getting bookings is 100% (yes, really). So contact me, and I will make every effort to visit you and talk through how I will give your guests an amazing and unforgettable experience.

Mind Reader boards Tall Ship

Last Sunday I found myself entertaining Hartlepool Borough Council and their guests on the Tall Ship 'Mir' in Hartlepool Marina. Wow - what an event! About 200 people, food, drink, fireworks.....and me! Now who is that couple, I said to myself; heavens, it's Sir John and Lady Hall. I think I thoroughly mystified them. The next group looked familiar; yes, it was the renowned baritone Sir Thomas Allen, his wife and friends. A gaggle of dignitaries bedecked in gold chains were equally astounded. As dark fell everyone disembarked tired and happy. What an experience!

Mind reader goes to Hollywood!

In June I went to Hollywood, and performed at the Sheraton Universal Hotel. I did one of my favourite demonstrations - I asked one person to think of the name of a childhood friend, and another person to think of the name of a pet. After a bit of consideration I wrote a name down on my pad and handed the pad to the first person - the friend's name was correct! I then thought a bit more and wrote another name on my pad. The second person announced his pet's name and I slowly turned round my pad, and.....right again!

Wedding Magician stuns Guests!

I performed at a wedding yesterday and I loved it. Having a magician really does seem to add a lot of fun to an already happy occasion. I found myself using stuff that was already on the tables - guests watched as cutlery distorted into amazing shapes; a little box that contained sweets became a container that people hid objects inside and I had to describe them. One lady made a beeline for me and told me that she had seen me perfom at a wedding a year ago and was still trying to work out how I read her mind! That really does make it all worthwhile.

Another Psychic Party done and dusted!

Another great Psychic Party over - this time for Jane and her friends. It was part of Jane's Hen Party and was certainly something a bit different. Am I really a mind reader? Ask any of Jane's friends and they will say 'Yes'. Some of the ladies commented afterwards how accurate the personal readings were - when the guests are happy, I'm happy. One more thing - however long it takes to get through all the readings, I will stay and finish them. I will not leave anybody feeling disappointed. Best wishes for your wedding, Jane!

Hold a Psychic Party!

Many people ask me what are the sort of things I do at my very successful Psychic Parties. I start off by demonstrating that it is possible to intuitively know some amazing things about people. For example, I try to tell all the guests what specific place in the world they most want to go to. I also try to predict everyone's favourite colour and what this says about them. Sometimes I show guests how to use a pendulum to answer their most important personal questions. In the second part of the Party, I try to answer guests' unspoken questions using my special crystal ball. And lastly, and most importantly, I give everyone a personal psychic reading. Sounds interesting? Then give me a call or email me!
